Escape the Fate 11/21/08

So the show I went to last night was at the Wiltern which was a super nice place, really big. I liked how the crowwd was chill and mellow. It started off perfect because I was one of the first 100 in so I was about second row and had a great view. On top of that my friend asked the guys in front of us if we could switch with them when Escape the Fate went on (because they were in the front) and they let us :D This was my first time being in the actual front row during a show. Big deal for me esp because Im short and this time I had a perfect view of all the band members.

Anyways so ETF went on and they played Situations, Something, You Are So Beautiful, 10 Miles Wide and This War is Ours. I know I know only five songs right? /: It felt like they played for only a minute. Im going to be 100% honost here, Escape the Fate…They were not as good that night. Not how I expected them to be. Im sure it didnt help that they couldnt interact with the crowd because there was a large distance between the stage and where we were standing and The Wiltern didnt allow crowd surfing or moshing (really stupid right? Thats the only thing I didnt like about the The Wiltern: some of the rules were like wtf, this is a fucking concert). But yeah they sort of…I dont know they were alright.
Heres the deal, at my first show back in 07, I saw Escape the Fate when Ronnie was still there and Craig was with blessthefall (who was at the same show ironicly) and I swear to this day that has been the BEST show I have EVER gone to. Since then Ive gone to a few more shows but NOTHING has come close to that night. That night was magic. and Ronnie, Escape the Fate, they were freaking amazing. I can not even explain how crazy it was.
Ive also been a huge Ronnie fan. Now, People make this big deal on how people should love Craig and get over Ronnie because he will never be in ETF again and blahblahblah but I feel like no one understands that THATS WHY I CANT JUST “GET OVER IT.” Escape the Fate will never be the same. Ever. The Escape the Fate that I fell in love with, the band I loved so fucking much they ment the world to me will NEVER ever be real anymore. It felt like that band fell off the face of the fucking earth, get it? So for me, I call that ETF the Old ETF. Because in my eyes it is like TWO COMPLETELY DIFFERENT BANDS.
Dont get me wrong, i love the other band members but they changed too. Obviously Ronnie had a huge impact on ETF and him not being there, its a different fucking band. And dude, I love Craig. I really do. When I saw him with blessthefall he was fucking amazing. The dude is a great guy. I just think he sounded better and mixed well with Blessthefall. Thats all. I have nothing against the guy.
I like both Ronnie and Craig, but I just love Ronnie. And I will never get over the fact that Ronnie isnt ETF anymore okay? When that happened it broke my fucking heart. Obviously I still support ETF and will continue seeing them but its just not that same. It fucking isnt.

Anyways so after ETF played, I meet Craig later that day and this was my first time meeting him and he was the biggest sweatheart. He signed my ipod and took pictures and everything. He was adorable (Hes sooo tiny too :D ). OH! and I got Montes guiter pick(;
Overall it was a GREAT night. I shall post pictures soon, so get ready to jizz yo pants ;D

i totally agree with them not being the same..and craig totally is a sweetheart so that gave them a few points back.lol
